Discussions and Writing Assignments Identifying your PURPOSE Community Service

Taking time for yourself is key. It is impossible to live by these tenets with a stressed mind and body. Find your relaxation habits. If it's watching a movie, reading a book, going for a walk or anything else you come up with, be sure to schedule "me time." By renewing yourself, you will be able to approach others with an open mind and live a more highly effective life.

What a PHENOMENAL end of the year trip we had at Lauderdale Lanes with our Sheffield High Z Factor Leadership students! We’re so proud of young leaders! Thank you to every partner, volunteer, and organization that supports the vision of RMP!

Special thanks to the staff for allowing our Z-Factor Program to be a part of Sheffield High School’s 2021-2022 school year. This program, as you know, is a “seed planting” program, designed to encourage and communicate thoughts and ideas that will inspire hope, encourage them to respect themselves and others, and to believe in themselves. We are aware that all seeds will not harvest immediately. But we sincerely believe that a harvest is indeed coming!

Here’s a couple of pictures of the students of Deshler Middle School. They expressed an interest in talking about self-control. Part of self-control is our ability to stop and think before making decisions. This involves taking a pause when our emotions want to take over so we can think through the situation, consider solutions, assess the consequences, and move forward with the best choice in that scenario. We played Jenga, and had a BLAST!

Chris giving music advice in our production Studio! “Whenever you struggle or doubt yourself remember why you got into this in the first place. Making music is fun. If you’re struggling you’ve forgotten the fun.” For more information visit: www.TheRescueMeProject.com

Our monthly sessions at the Russellville Dream Center has been phenomenal. *RMP Team Speakers: Stephen, Michelle, and Derrick Robinson.

HUGE thanks to the Alabama Alpha Delta Kappa Sigma Chapter for your donations to the Rescue Me Project! We appreciate you all for your continuous support!

MAJOR thanks to Certified Alarm for sponsoring our new keyless entry system. We appreciate you for your phenomenal service and continuous support.

“DHS senior class has been working hard on a community outreach project.” “The students picked a non-profit all on their own called “The Rescue Me Project”. Their program mentors kids in our area, so it was a perfect organization to focus on. We contacted them about what we could do. The kids developed proposals on how we would carry out collecting items, and we spent a couple of days in class painting canvases and writing encouraging notes on the back. They also chose to send out letters to teachers that they hand-delivered asking for donations as well as bringing in items themselves.

I am so proud of them, and I hope that they always remember it’s always better to serve others than ourselves. A huge thank you to Mr. Dewayne Malone, the founder of The Rescue Me Project, for taking the time to come and talk to my class today!” ~Mrs. Grissom

We are you EXCITED to offer cooking sessions now, and the students are loving it.
